What is the best way to remove the windshield and rear glass without damaging it?
I'm ready to remove the glass so we can send the cab to get sandblasted.

Sharp utility knife, cut the rubber from the inside, push out gently, have someone catch it. Maybe pad the outside with blankets just in case. Order you new rubber just before you reinstall from a good vendor that has high turnover so it will be fresh.

Old couple has it exactly right except order the rubber from Steele Rubber. I never read a single negative post about their stuff

I cut it from the outside and have the knife blade under the glass, if you cut inside you just scrape the pinch weld. I guess most that do it don't care though. On the rear window pull the lock strip out first and if I remember you kinda cut in it. Its just lots easier to remove the windows from the rubber than as a full uinit.

+1 to cutting the old rubber. It's probably tougher than the glass by this time anyhow.

On the 56, I cut the rubber on the outside away from the original window in the lower corners to check for rust before sending it to the paint shop. They trimmed more away and left the window in as a mask. Not a sign of rust so the old rubber must seal pretty well.

I removed a couple windshields by doing the same thing. Just cut the outside of the rubber and removes the strip to expose the edge of the windshield. The start pressing from the inside. You can even cut all the way through the rubber in a few spots. I've always done it by myself without any issue. If you have any cracks or chips, tape over them before you do anything
