Dad's 07 classic Sierra having problems
His truck has a 6.6 Diesel engine and it randomly turns off and then he has to pump something to get it running again. What is going with the truck?

Sounds like he is getting air in the fuel line. Is he pumping the prime pump at the fuel filter housing ? There is a vent screw that needs to be opened while doing so until the fuel comes out without air... then tighten the screw. It is common for the o-rings to wear out at the fuel lines causing air to be sucked in (I have been told this but never actually replaced them)

Rebuild the fuel filter head First! http://nicktane.com/osc/product_info...59fbb19a7cba4f
I'm guessing this is a GMT800 truck with an LBZ? |
