No Warranty On Parts

I called a company that sells parts for our trucks. They said there is no warranty on there parts. If The parts don't work you don't get another one, or your money back. This company is in texas. I will call LMC, and Brothers and see what they say.

Taken from the ClassicParts website..

Every item we sell is backed by our Return Guarantee. Other parts retailers will tell you that all sales are final. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase at ClassicParts.com, you can contact us for a Return Merchandise Autorization number. Then simply send the item(s) back to us for a full refund within 30 days from the time you receive your order. In-Store credit will be given for items returned after 30 days.

I'm curious....but whats the point of posting this? It took 20 replies to even get the name of the company in question...and its not even one of the primary or sponsoring vendors.

Did you just have a bad experience with them, or....?

My experience going in that store was not good, either. I went there once and swore I would not go back. It's a shame when you have money in your pocket to spend and not just one, but two employees make you feel like they are doing you a favor by helping you out. That isn't always indicative of how a business is run as a whole, maybe they had a bad day, but coupled with the no warranty deal, it only reinforces my experience.

Why are you upset with me. I have not hurt you in anyway. I gave the name of the co. when someone ask for it. And it does not matter if it is not a vendor on this site.

I only deal with Classic Parts, never had any problems with them, they have good prices and the parts are here in a day or two. Some of the other suppliers are a pain to deal with.

How ironic. When I opened this thread, the banner ad was Southwest Classics.

Do they actually make parts? Or just sell the same mostly-foreign made crap everyone else does?

This doesn't imply a warranty it only states that you can return it within 30 days. Its very difficult to warranty parts that are made over seas and is very difficult to return items to them that's why re-sellers don't usually offer a warranty they only help facilitate the return to the vendor if possible. The re-seller would end up eating the broken part when its not the sellers fault it broke.

I would call them Southwest classics or classic parts and ask if X part breaks in 90 days or 8 months can I get a free replacement, which is a warranty, and see what they say. Warranties cover defects in the product and or workmanship that's a function of the manufacturer or re-builder not the re-seller.

We only warranty what we make not what others make this is an industry standard policy.
