SPID decoding help

2 Attachment(s)
My buddy owns this truck and asked me about a few things on the SPID. I have never seen the last two; parking/brake flasher and IP door lock. It's a 1970 C/10.

Could someone drop some knowledge about these. Thanks.:help:

Those are custom orders. The IP door lock is power lock I believe that were used in 1970-1972 Malibus. Not sure on the prk/brk flasher. But Im sure you will get some detailed answers from other members. Nice ride

Bump.

I can see the IP meaning that, but I didn't know there were power options on these trucks.

Anybody know what these are, for sure?

Being fleet codes they are really hard to nail down.
The way it is specd I'm going with Dispatch/Glove Box lock and a parking brake "on" lamp. Depending on what is still left of the original truck you might be able to check for them.

I know this is an old thread, but I suspect that truck might have been a CalTrans truck. I think my truck might have been CalTrans as well, but the SPID is gone. Regarding the IP DOOR LOCK (probably glovebox lock) item on the SPID, my truck did have electric door lock actuators inside the doors. I figured they were installed by a PO at some point, so I removed and discarded them.

Here's an SPID from a truck I saw listed for sale a while ago. The ad said specifically that it was originally a CalTrans truck. Its SPID looks almost identical to the one in the #1 post above.

Perhaps IP door lock is instrument panel door lock in GM speak?
