Anyone done this?
I will be adding power locks & windows to my 69 Burb. Has anyone found a good way to get the wires into the door? Maybe post some pictures?? Is there any large rubber boots available to route them through.??

Street rodders sometimes use a pair of matching plates, one on the door and one on the jamb. They have contacts that mate when the door is closed. This would be OK for the locks as you would want the door closed but it would prevent you from operating the windows unless you closed the door.
You can find them in most Street Rod mags. Otherwise I would just scour the wrecking yards for boots that would work. ------------------ Deland does Chevys 68Chevy panel(LIZ) "A man and his truck,it's a beautiful thing" "I have the body of a god, unfortunately it's Budda" |
There are some conduit pieces listed in the LMC catalog that are made for that.

The Camaro restoration places have a really trick set of reproduction boots for factory power window harnesses. They just cost out the ying yang (About $75 if I remember)but is probably the way I will go when I do my 'vert, I already have the window regulators and switches.
