ProJect: '87 BEVO

I need a little advise. I am trying to remove the fuel tank off a '87 GMC Jimmy, does anyone have any tips on how to do this. I already removed both metal straps that hold the tank and I also have the tank on a floor jack stand. I lowered the jack to let the tank drop, but it stayed suspended in place. What step am I forgetting. Oh, I also removed the rubber coupling that was holding it to the side neck (where you fill up with fuel). I am stumped! Any tips would be helpful.

The fuel lines on the top of the tank will hold it in place. I cannot remember how to release them on a 87 but I'm someone will chime in with that info soon.
