NOS 69 Carmaro

Not really, but it is a one owner. I was at a County Fair parade and saw it. The lady driving purchased it new while in high school. She told me she worked summers on her grandparents farm for the money to purchase it. Been in her garage all these years.

I ask her if she wanted a boyfriend, but she turned me down.

I don't understand how a young person just starting to drive could work their butt off enough to save money and buy such a car brand new and not drive the wheels off of it. Totally baffles me.

Oh,,,,She said she did drove it while in high-school, but not much as an adult. She told me how many miles it has on it, but I've forgot, but it is low mileage. It has "hounds tooth" seat fabric. She still has the warranty plate.

I still want to be her boyfriend and all I would want from her is to drive it once in a while. Kiss the headlights, etc.

One owners are interesting to talk to... we have a friend with a '67 SS Chevelle. He bought it new in '67, and we had the previledge of helping him restore it a few years ago. It was cool when he'd see a ding or scratch & tell us all about how it happened or a certain part would bring back a memory to him...to me it's the people and stories that make this hobby so much fun!

I have a friend in Myrtle Beach SC has a 67 396 Chevelle documented bY GM. They came down in the early 90's to his place to do it. It's the only one they could locate that had all the correct numbers and never has been painted wrecked are restored in any fashion. Everything on the car is as it came from the factory down to the dry rotted tires. He kept them though not on the car he has them in his heated AC garage where the car stay's. I've seen it out side one time in the years I've know him. He never annouces when he will drive it and when he does he only goes around the block.
The GM people wanted to drive it and he refused. He did take them around the block though he said. He bought the car new and has the window sticker for it as well. The car is perfect except for one thing... well as far as I'm concerned! He should drive it and show it.

Andy, Sounds just like this guy:

8,500 miles, one owner car. Guy passed away and car was sold at auction. I don't get letting them sit either.

Is that Camaro original paint as well? Don't see too many that color?

I know THAT wasn't the same car/guy, that ones a Shelby, I was referring to the fact that they had the same mindset, and the Mustang guy never really fully enjoyed the car? My dad's 67 firebird has not moved on it's own since 1992-ish, but it's a rust bucket project car. These are ready to drive toys that just sit :(

The 69 Camaro looks to be Garnet red if it's really original paint. (Note: Camaro, not CARMARO !! )

One of my customers has a 69 Camaro convertible he purchased it new. He ordered with dual carbs and he said it too hard to tune and drive with them so he swapped out the duals to a single. He still has the manifold cabs and linkage in his attic.

Its a beautiful car, and if I remember correctly it has very low mileage. And not for sale at any price according to him =)

Oh,ok. When I saw NOS in the title I took it to mean the car was essentially still new and unused.

My uncle has a 67 chevelle he bought new sitting in his shed. I have never seen it move. 396 4spd and all original. He just retired and built a new shed so hopefully he restores it.
