Brake drums

I'm starting 68 Chevy Fleetside build and need to know what 5/5" bolt circle drums will interchange with my redrilled rear axles. 11" drums, 2"shoes and 3 9/16" axle center flange.
Also truck had a six cyl. and was changed to a SBC. Are the six motor mount stands the same as a SB? Looks to me that the engine is sitting back about two inches too far as the distributor's real close to the firewall and the fan is out from the shroud.
I'm new to this forum and I hope you guys can lead me down the right path. Thanks

Re: Brake drums

The small block eng. stands are different and use the front set of frame holes. They move the eng. about 3" forward, but you will need a longer drive shaft. Don't know about the brake drums.

Thanks, I suspected as much. Now I've got to find the correct SBC stands.

Re: Brake drums

There is nothing wrong with the engine being in the I6 position in fact the truck will handle better because of the weight distribution.
