More frame support??

Curious if I swap a 12 v cummins into my 66 c10 will I need to box the frame and add more supports? Will the stock suspension handle the weight? Im in the process of bagging it anyway. I'm sure the bags can handle it.

Just looking for insight. Thanks.

I'm not real familiar with the 63-66s, but from what I understand, they are similar to the 67 up? If so, it should handle it fine. I know the 68-87 stuff handles fine. The frames are tough enough unless you plan on big power. Even then, there's a member here who has a 72 Burb with a 950hp Duramax. He takes it on power tour every year, racing it and the whole bit. It takes it all and has a non boxed frame or a cage.

I'm in the process of building a 63 with a 6bt in it. If the 67-87 hold it so will the 63-66. They are the same exact frame. The biggest issue is the with the space. If you want some pictures of it so you can get an idea let me know and I'll get some over to you
