Re: How do you remove the rolling windows? non power
The key to getting the roll up windows out IS the vent window assemblies.
The vent window frames have to be unbolted from the door (easiest to just remove them as an assembly for room). You have to release the roll up from its vertical tracks(channels) to get them out. Once the vent is out pull glass toward front of truck about 1 inch releasing it from the rear channel. Roll up window while guiding the top edge outside the door shell as in straight up not following the contour of the door. keep rolling till the bottom channel is visible in the window opening the slide the glass and channel assembly off the regulator rollers. Glass is free. reverse order to reassemble. |
