low mount A/C with pictures
3 Attachment(s)
Thought I would share a couple pictures of my new set up. I purchased an Allen Grove low mount bracket and sanden compressor to use with my classic auto air kit. I'm using their street rod cooler 2 evaporator with billet controls. The bracket fits like a glove. The compressor hugs The block a lot more. Motor is a 2001 ls1 out of a camaro.

What motor stand are you using, and motor mount. I have the dirty dingo sliders and wonder if this is an option with dirty dingo sliders?

Re: low mount A/C with pictures
I have had quite a few Sanden compressors fail when using that configuration, From what I can gather the Discharge port is clocked to far over & the "Belly Oil" in the compressor doesn't stay put. Pure conjecture, I'm a mechanic not an engineer.
Contacted Sanden, Alan Grove, Vintage Air(Vendor), & Old Air(Vendor), One big finger pointing game, "Not Invented Here" rhetoric. |

I clocked my Sanden 90* to CCW and everything has been working fine.
Maybe I did not have enough oil in it |
Re: low mount A/C with pictures
An old thread, but how did things work out with your low mount setup?
