LED taillight bulb symptoms are odd

A question for the ones with LED experience. I put LED bulbs in my tail lights only. All other bulbs are stock and I have a electronic flasher so I havent had an issue with flashing. I did my best to get good grounds with dedicated ground wires from the light housings to the body. They work great EXCEPT for when the turn signals are activated, the other rear bulb flashes but it lights up partially like its in "marker" mode. The license plate light also blinks with the turn signal. Any Ideas would be greatly Appreciated! Ive been beating myself up about this....

Did you ground bed to the frame? sounds like a back feed searching for a ground.

Are you talking about these?

If so, do yourself a favor and throw them in the trash and put the 1156 back in the socket are either buy the panels like these to go in the housing. You will thank me later. Those 1156 bulbs are junk and you willl never get them to work right.:chevy:

Yes, excuse me they are the 1157. The only difference is the 1157 as in our trucks has 2 elements where the 1156 is only one. They want interchange either.:chevy:

In addition to verifying you have good grounds, you also need to change your front turn signals to LED'S as well, if you haven't.

Ill double check the bed ground to Frame, That is IMO a good description: "backfeed searching for a ground".

Andy, Yes the bulbs are similar. They have the flat or surface mount type of LEDs around the circumference of the bulb along with the outter face. Ya know I thought about the panels..... I can see these working out if I can get the grounds sorted out or something similar. If not Ill be going with the full lenses.

Lefty, I was not aware I needed use LEDs in the front also. I was thinking I read about keeping the stock lights in front was ok.

You don't have to use any other LED's to make them work! I'm just trying to save you time and stress! You will never get them to work right no matter what you do. I tried for months and finally bought the panels. I ran just brake lights for several years by themselves before I swapped the rest of the truck lights for LED's. Everything on my truck is LED now.
Even if you do get the 1157 bulb to work it want have near the brightness as the panels do.

How do you hook up the electronic flasher? One came with my tail lights but when I plugged it in they didn't work. I put the old one in and they worked...odd
It came with a couple wires but no directions

The flasher has to be grounded.
Here is a link of mine.

The Flasher with the ground is my last straw, like Andy has mentioned. I have an electronic flasher now but it does not have the ground. Its deceiving because the flasher flashes at the correct speed with the LED bulbs in when I activate the turn signal like its ok. What ever side turn signal I use will blink fine but the opposite side will also blink on the lower intensity level along with the license plate light...all in the same rhythm. I know its getting backfed, Im just not sure how.

Ive got high hopes for the grounded flasher.
