Oil,,,

I'm running Rotella 15w/40 in my '69 350 with 305 heads. Do I still have to put a lead additive in the oil, even though Rotella is rated with a high volume of lead in it? Thanks, Bill

Do you mean Zinc? Rotella should be ok. I don't personally use it, but I still add a zinc additave to the oil in my BB Chevelle

Opps,,,,jeeeez,,,,I'm old,,,LOL. Yea, zinc,,,,,just wanted to make sure,,,the engine is using,,,maybe a qt. of oil about every 250mi.,,,,ok,,,,thanks,,,Bill
