92 ignition electrical problem

Thanks for any help.
PROBLEM: No start, no crank. Nothing happens when the key is turned to "Start". When key turns to "On" the fuel pump spins up, dash lights and radio come on but when I turn to "Start", zip nada nothing! Radio dies but dash lights stay on.
TRUCK: 1992 s10 2.8L V6 5-speed manual, ext cab. At or around 200K miles.
ATTEMPTED FIXES: New starter solenoid. New Ignition Control Module. Battery tested and good. New battery bolts (side mount) and cleaned all battery connections to bare metal for best ground. New Ignition Switch. All fuses check out good. By-passed the clutch safety switch and no change.

Truck cranks and will even start and run if I gap the starter solenoid posts, so mechanically she wants to run. Something is happening between ignition switch and starter, but I'm at the end of my brian capacity on this one, and out of beers.

Thanks for any help and ideas.

Re: 92 ignition electrical problem

is there an ignition fuse or a fusible link like on the older trucks?

Re: 92 ignition electrical problem

the problem has been resolved. Apparently the ignition switch needs to be positioned in the right place to allow the key turn to fully engage the "crank" position in the switch. 1/8" towards the firewall and all is good, so far.

To your question, there is an ignition fuse on the fuse block.
