Mll suspension noise

I've fitted new springs, 2 dropped spindles & new upper/lower ball joints. As I'm tuning the wheel towards full lock I get a clink noise & the trucks moves a little. I tried to get a video of it https://youtu.be/SErhrcawP1I

Looks to me like your upper "A" is moving, check for a wear track or loose adjustment bolts.

A wear track? Oh like a mark or groove where it's been moving, I get ya. I'll have a good look around, thanks

agreed, i see a lot of rotation of the spindle at 0:16
yoshi is running a true mustII front end
upper A arm or ball joint may be moving/loose
also check the strut rod rubber where the strut rod is attached to the lower frame

Re: Mll suspension noise

2 nuts that adjust the upper A arm needed tightening, while I was at it I set everything to 0 deg for now. Front end feels better & no clonky noises, many thanks for that. Looks like I need to get some new rubbers for the strut rod too!

Good deal there, Those nuts have to be torqued to the right specs or they get loose.

The Moog part number for the strut rod bushings is K8196 and you may be able to coss that over locally if they sold Mustang II or Pintos in the UK.

Ok thanks, looks like they gotta come from your side of the pond. Either this item Number390977263213 or item number 281819847328 on ebay

Re: Mll suspension noise

you could probably firm up the front end by using urethane, which can be cut on a lather where ever you are, or maybe a kit on ebay. check energy suspension site?

There you go. That's being taken care of.

that looks good and you will likely get a better ride and handling from it but, just curious, how do you get the vehicle to hang upside down like that, ha ha.
just thought, also, that you may want to insulate that braided stainless line. it looks like it is rubbing on the bracket. I could be wrong.
