New adjustable fuel log and braided line

I purchased a new Holley and braided fuel line kit from summit. After a month and three different fuel kits, ended up with this adjustable fuel log from jegs. I'm not crazy about it, but it doesn't spray fuel everywhere (leak) like the others. Also, I don't like how the line ended up coming from the fuel pump. I have a fuel filter. With this fuel log, the 90 degree fitting hits the belt tensioner. To get it running I've put the fuel filt aside. Using braided line and AN fittings so far has been a big pain and expensive, but it looks cool.

You might try something like this. I have a little more room because I don't have a compressor. You could move the filter closer to the fuel pump.
