On my 67 I also went to 72 disc but I kept the original 67 front rear brake splitter and plummed in an adjustable proporting valve in the rear line that I could adjust from inside the cab. I also changed the master cylinder to an 82 vette - 72 c10 would be ok also. Speedway also says to run a residual valve on the rear brakes if drums , I did not. When I went to disc all the way around all I had to do was readjust my rear brake valve.

Be safe and test your brakes before venturing into normal traffic.

I bought a 73 booster master cylinder was going to just install that one and get a new proportioning valve .

I wouldn't add a valve unless the rear brakes lock up under heavy braking.

It is a knob style adjustable proportioning valve. Like speedway part number 910-31353.

remove rear brake line from oem splitter valve. use splice if needed to run line to the out side of the knob valve. run a new short line from in side on knob valve back to oem splitter valve. mount under dash. will show a pics.

73 master cylinder should be ok.
