Gas savers?
Has anyone tried any of the "fuel saving" devices? I was looking into the Super Fuelmax, Tornado, and SpiralMax. They all claim gains of up to 28% better gas mileage and up 35 extra HP. They range from $50-$100. It would be nice to take a few min. and give my blazer better gas mileage and performance. It just seems to good to be true. I would like to believe the websites, but I would feel much better about buying one if I heard it from one of you guys. Thanks for your input.

I don't know I have never tried any of them. I bet there are some people that have tried them but will never admit to it.

My suggestion for better mileage is, buy a honda(or other ricer) and don't drive your truck as much. sorry I'm no help but these things are pigs, I drive the honda to work and school and drive the blazer on weekends, I really don't think that tornados or other devices would really work. If they worked that well we would see them on every new car produced. just my 2 cents

Lot of claims made out there.
I tried the magnets on the fuel line several years back. As long as they were installed right they increased the mileage. Lot of things you can do for mileage. Proper tire inflation, tune ups, oil changes, even smaller width on the tires will help. |

My Blazer gets in the 6-8mpg range so my daily is also a Honda. I figure since the Honda gets 40+mpg, it all balences out. My Blazer could probably get better mpg with some adjusting, but since is isn't moving at all right now, it isn't killing the fuel budget.

I keep getting these adds that state, take this pill and it'll make your peter 3" longer. Probably the same people who make those add-ons. In all seriousness, I did try the TBI Vortec spacer on my 88 454 and all it does is make a funny sound. No increase in Mileage or power. I'd stick with a good tuneup and keep your foot out of the 4BBL.

LeRoy, with all the rain lately, I'd think you could just get a paddle and float your truck where ever your going. Seriously, I hope you were able to stay out of all the flooding up your way. It looks like it was pretty bad up there.

No flood at my house. I bagged my basement garage door but didn't get a chance to test it out. Dang, maybe next time. lol
