How to uncrackheadify my donor truck
I just bought an 02 Silverado from my neighbor. His grandson hot wired it and now the transmission shift solenoids and half the dash is not getting power. Any advice on how to power the transmission to see if it shifts right?

Back Feed B+ into Circuit 1020 at the underhood fuse box with a 15 amp fused jumper wire.

Re: How to uncrackheadify my donor truck
Pin E2 of the (Black) C2 fuse box connector.
Take the shroud off the fuse box, Release the 2 tabs holding the fuse box to the base, Locate E2 (Pink Wire) on the black connector, Strip about an inch off the insulation......Clip on your fused jumper, Connect the other end to battery positive. This will give the transmission solenoids power for your test drive, Unhook it when your done or the battery will have a draw. http://i296.photobucket.com/albums/m...psznexoaqc.gif |

Re: How to uncrackheadify my donor truck
could you just hook it to the ignition fuse instead of B+ so it wont run down the battery but still have power to the shift solenoids when the key is on, or am i missing something?

Ok I got a smoking deal on a column with key and matching door locks and when I got it in the transmission shifted like it's supposed to.
