Swap from TH-350 to CADDY TH-400?

My 500cid Caddy motor is (as of last night) bolted into my truck. I have the stock Caddy TH-400 on the motor just as it came from the Deville. My question is what do I need to do if anything to the shifter linkages and the selector bracket on the drivers side of the tranny? My truck was originally I6-250/TH-350. Sorry for not doing my home work before posting, but spent all week end getting motor in truck. Also, it's good to have some pointers going into the problem to give a heads up about what to do. So, that being said, any ideas on how to hook up the linkages to the TH-400? Truck is a '70 C/10, SWB

OH, while I have this post open, let me ask another question. Does anyone know if pre-formed tranny fluid lines are availible for our trucks? Are there any differences between the 350 and the 400 cooling lines? I'll bend them myself, but if readily availible one at a reasonable price are out there, I'd rather do that.

You should be able to buy the lines at an autoparts store....if not i'm sure they are available in the aftermarket.

I can't be much help with the shift linkage...but i was under the impression that the linkages were the same between TH350's and TH400's

Lines are available from Classic Tube: Stainless Steel for $80.00 or OEM for $45.00 Part # CTT1001 for a 1970 Pickup/Blazer 2wd with a TH-350. Or Part # CTT1002 for a 1971-75 Pickup/Blazer 2wd with a TH-350 or TH-400. According to all of the books I have looked at the lines are the same for a TH-350 and a TH-400. The linkages should be the same for both, or you could try Kugel Componets (not sure about spelling) for the shift linkage, someone had it on here not too long ago. I hope this helps. :D

thanks!

Thanks guys, I checked out Classic Tube and may go with them. Probably just bend it myself though. This project is dragging but is finally getting close to a close. Thanks for the replies!
