The GM was my dad's and has been sitting for about 4 or 5 years. Me and a buddy decided to use it as a project truck as it was free and we just got out of school, plus its my favourite body style. The idea was to do a frame up build and fix the cab, but I ended up getting a really good deal on a 91 Scottsdale cab so the GM is becoming a Chevy. I am in the process of buying a 400 sbc and th350 both rebuilt with 0 km on them. I figure that and a 2/4 drop, true duals, cherry bombs and she'll be ready to piss some people off.

As you can see she's got a few spots of rust, but I haven't found anything wrong with the frame yet so I'm happy about that. Just working on getting the box off now, which isn't as easy as it should be as the bolts are all rusted solid, but I'm not giving it a choice so it will come off soon.

Just thought id throw this on here. Its the engine I intend to use. Rebuilt sbc 400. I didn't rebuild it but the guy who did said it's rebuilt stock other then an rv cam and some ARP head bolts. I'm planning on putting an Edelbrock performer 2101 intake and a Q-jet carb on it. I know it's the 817 block but it doesn't matter to me.

Any progress? Looks like you have your work cut out, but that can be the fun part!
