Very Odd thought process
Hi all, NEWBIE here. I have been a fan of this website for years and finally have a question that i can not seem to find the answer to.
Here goes, Will a 73- square body short bed fit onto a 64 c10 frame. I know it is backwards thinking, so here is the skinny 1964 2wd LB shortened to SB 454 with 700R4 frame has been stripped and completely rebuilt air in all four corners, drop spindles in front with disc. notch in back Completely rebuilt front member Completely rebuilt diff Flipped trailing arm cross member PS conversion PB conversion tank relocation Sway bars, You name it within reason and it is done. Method to madness question. I love the 60-66 trucks but my sheetmetal got f'd up and i might have access to square body and 60-66 is extremely hard to find up here in eastern idaho. So outside of the "Im F'ing Dumb" is it possible and what would it entail. Thank you |
Re: Very Odd thought process
if it did fit it would never look right..and im not sure of the wb on either....body lines are completely different if your talking fleetside...a step side would be closer to a match for looks

Re: Very Odd thought process
Mongo,
My thought on it was the height issues and mounting points. I would stick with the Fleetside short bed. I know that mods have to be done to put the 60 on the 73+ though i'm not completely sure what. I just know that 60-66 is tough to get, 67-72 is spendy as all get out. |
