Do NOT buy a Mr. Gasket fuel regulator!

I put one on my blazer about a year ago and today came really close to burning it down. Fuel spraying right on the header, luckily I smelled it right away and replaced it with fuel line on the side of the road.

Be safe out there fellers, Rg

Thanks. I'll be sure to keep my all-steel fuel line between the fuel pump and carburetor inlet, with no sections of rubber or plastic parts or unions of any kind anywhere along that route. When I got the truck it had a rubber fuel line, and in one of the first posts I made here somebody pointed out to me that the pressurized side of the fuel pump should be all steel, so I changed it.

I had the same problem with one, it was about 1 year old too. Smelled gas, poped the hood and gas was everywhere. Bought a Holley one to replace it, much nicer quality.

Please don't use neoprene hoses under the hood, always use braided steel,a lot safer, also NEVER use plastic for oil pressure gauge, copper or braided, used plastic once before, line rubbed thru, oil spray everywhere, when it it the hot headers,WOW, what a fire I had,
