Looking for a floor shift tilt.. Again!

I am again looking for an original floor shift tilt. The one that I purchased recently was a pile of garbage. It originally was a van automatic tilt that someone had converted to a manual and did not do a very good job of it. The steering shaft had been cut and welded, but not sleeved. The weld did not look good either. The shifter boss on the cone had been hacked off and was filled full of bondo. I would prefer for it not to have been rebuilt because I am going to tear it down anyways to have it painted Cadillac white diamond. When I reassemble it, I will put all new parts in it. Most of the tilts I have seen here for sale have the turn signal switch with a mushroom hazard button, but I like the original red buttons. Please let me know what you have. WES

I saw that one thank you. However it has been completely rebuilt and powder coated black. I wouldn't use the turn signal switch because it has a chrome mushroom hazard button (I want the original red one) and it's been powder coated to boot. I need to bead blast one that I can paint Cadillac white diamond. Thanks again for pointing it out to me. WES

So a factory floor shift tilt used the same harness as a non tilt?

Re: Looking for a floor shift tilt.. Again!

The factory floor shift tilt uses the same turn signal switch as the straight columns.

Here’s mine. I think it depended on where it was built as to how the flasher knob looked. It was discussed years ago on the message board if I’m not mistaken

Tinman, call the number listed for Dean Johnson in TN. I think he was wanting $425 for a floor tilt that's rebuilt.
