1969 blazer project. A few questions before I dive in.

So the short version is I found a 69 blazer locally that I pulled the trigger on and have a few questions. What wheels came on this truck? I've tried to do my own research but have not turned up a definite answer. I've found anything from 15x5, 15x6 to 16x6. It was optioned with the PO1 caps if that helps.

Also, were hickey parts available for Blazers in 69? When did parts like the roll bar and outside tire carrier become available?

Nice buy. Can you post a SPID pic when possible? With po1 covers wheel diameter was 15” (not 16”) and at that time width was what - 6”?

Edit: wheel width was 5.5” when po1s ordered based upon required tire size details here: https://www.gmheritagecenter.com/doc...let-Blazer.pdf

Thanks deadheadnm. That was an interesting read. So at least I know what to look for. 15x5.5 3 nub wheels for drum brakes. Sounds like a needle in a hay stack.

So I found three 15x6 wheels that will work. On the hunt for the last one and am wondering what color the wheels are supposed to be when equipped with the PO1 covers? I know you only see the edge and I think they should be white but let me know please.

All steel wheels were white from the factory from what I have heard - regardless of size.

Nice project by the way - congrats!

Looks like you found the needle pretty quick on those restored wheels. Good deal man!

Get some more pix of the new truck.

Thanks for deciphering my SPID. I couldn’t read mine, then I compared yours to mine and they are identical. 👍🏽
