Coolant Temp Sensors

I have a 70 C10 with the 250. I have two coolant sensors I believe. One in the thermostat housing and one on the driver side of the head. Is this stock? What do they each do?

Just use the one in the head. It will be the most accurate.

My '68 has a '70 or so 307. Thermostat sensor is one peg, the one in the head has two flat prongs. I was wondering about this.

Re: Coolant Temp Sensors

Peg would be a sender for a gauge. Blade style connector should be for a light.

My 1970 250 only has the one in the head
