Looking at truck, have questions

Im looking at this truck, its 40 miles away, curious about it.

Seller says its a C20, but to me looks to be a C30 dually.
292, seller say Auto, but appears to be a M465? truck.

C30 should be hydroboost, no?

Any insight?

If seller doesn't know the diff between a auto and the obvious clutch pedal and shifter in the floor manual trans..then I doubt they know much else..
The 292 was produced till 1988 from what I found... did find a article that stated in 1977 the 292 was the base engine for a c30....looking at the wheels I'd say it is a 30 series...looks like a parts truck from pics

I also doubt the jumper cable battery cables were standard...looks like they been there for a while

If its on facebook marketplace most people don't have enough sense to post ads the right way on there. Hell they call just about everything a Avalanche...

C30 regular cab was vacuum boost; crew cab (and bonus cab) were hydroboost.

i say its not a 292. 292 has fuel pump behind motor mount and taller side covers.

Hard to tell from the one pic that shows the bed but it looks like it had a flat bed at some point. Might have been sold as a cab & chassis for conversion to a farm/ranch truck.

If it is on Facebook, in their defence I've tried selling my 74 c30 manual on there. no matter what I did, it put an automatic transmission, and also said it was a freaking avalanche, and ill never own one of those. Hate marketplace for that, but locally Craigslist has been dead so :/

So that's why I see vehicles listed incorrectly all the time on facebook. I did not know that. I see a lot of Hondas that are listed as 400EX's no matter what it is. They must start typing Honda and auto complete puts in its' favorite title. Learned something new already today.

Craigslist is dead because they now charge $5 to list a vehicle!

Yup
List your vehicle as parts and accessories instead, that's still free
