I have a similar question. I too have a 1967 K10, it is a short bed, and I am having difficulty finding a pair of matching shocks. I know they are different from front to back, but it seems I can find a front but no back or vice versa.

That's strange. I looked on RockAuto and found all kinds of shocks for 69 K10, but almost none for 67 K10. I didn't know there was a difference between those models.

Yeah, I was just on Rock Auto. I was quite disappointed. I have a 1970 short K10 and had no trouble finding correct shocks.

The back ones on my '68 K10 were longer than the front. I just measured them a week or so ago (compressed, extended and ride height) and now I'm having trouble finding paper I wrote it all on. I will keep looking.

ORD has a chart on their shock web page with dimensions for the shocks with different sized lifts. It's the same for 67-91 though, which seems a little suspect.

This does not address the OP's question, but since the thread has strayed a bit from 1967 trucks...

The front springs on my '72 K20 are 2.5" Skyjackers. Rear springs are stock with AALs and Hellwig overloads. Turns out the correct front shocks are same as the stock rear shocks.

Are the GM part numbers the same for front and back?

What I meant was that stock front shocks are too short to use with 2.5" front springs. The stock rear shocks are longer, and are the correct length to use with 2.5" front springs.

So any stock rear shock, GM or otherwise, will work on the front of a '69-'72 K-series truck with a 2.5" lift.
