1950 gmc mustang install help
 

Has anybody installed a mustang 2 suspension ina 1950 gmc 3/4 ton I installed per Chevy dimension but does not center wheel.any help would be appreciated.thanks jason

Had same issue with my 48 3/4 ton. Tacked up by suggested measurement and was not centered. I ended up moving it back about 1.5” and then put fenders on to check. Worked fine.

Thanks for your help ,1 other question my kit came with a spacer and washer on ball joint show dos that go together no instructions spacer first then spindle then washer?any idea it kit off eBay .thanks again

I have a heidts crossmember and followed the directions very specifically. If I remember correctly it was supposed to be 20” back from the front of the frame.

I welded it in (was a bare frame) and after I got it assembled it does appear to be an inch or so forward of center. When on the lift they look perfectly centered, but on the ground slightly off. Does not seem to be a big deal and no tire clearance issues. I’m sure I am likely the only one that will notice and only when looking at the truck from a viewpoint that is in line with the spindle

I currently can't put my sheet metal back on. I added some material to mine, so it's not so low, hopefully that helps with the look.

If it a Chevy that should work ,gmc frame are longer because the original engine were longer so putting the crossmeber in a gmc it needs another 1 1/2 back then wheels will be centered ,found out the hard way ,had to redo it along with the rack c cut in frame.jason
