Question, is my 87 short step 4X4 truck engine, fully dressed, going to fit?

Pulled my 5.7 and had it rebuilt, decided to fully dress it before reinstalling it,going back in stock form...the question to y’all, will it go in or am I going to take half of this stuff back off just to get it installed ? Just wondering....
Thanks

Not sure what component you have on the lower passenger side, but that may or may not require trimming of a frame rail some. Other than that it should have no issues. It may be a little tight getting the motor mount bolts in with all that on, but it should go. I have never done one with everything on, but only advice I have is at least take off the distributor cap, it can get easily damaged bumping the firewall area. It doesn't take much.

As long as the radiator is out you shouldn't have a problem.

Definitely remove the distributor. There's too many sensitive bits on a TBI distributor to risk banging it into the firewall.

The front accessories will mostly cause issues with the support chain, as long as the radiator is already out of the way. If that engine is at all like the LS engines though, the complete front accessory group can be removed and reinstalled in just a few minutes.

What is the metal tube that runs around the back of the engine, just above the bellhousing? I don't remember that tube existing on my TBI 350.

Pollution plumbing, hooks up to the air pump...

Installed the engine last week, went in fairly easy with everything installed on the engine except distributor cap (which was laid back with wires already installed).
Thanks once again to the best damn truck site on the net. :chevy:
