Clutch safety switch-
2 Attachment(s)
I converted my 85 from auto to manual. The new clutch safety switch has two female plugs. One is for the starter interrupt,. not sure what the other is for but it doesn't matter. Anyway, there's no way to use female connectors on it, the male spades are embedded in the plastic plug.
Anybody have a lead on this or able to snip me off the plug from a manual trans equipped square body? Here's some photos. It's the one nearest the firewall or on the left in the pic. |
Re: Clutch safety switch-
Have you had any luck with this yet?

Thanks VetteVer. If you know of a source of oem plugs that would be nice for future reference. |
Re: Clutch safety switch-
Since you had the automatic trans wiring harness you wouldn't have had the harness plug so I know your dilemma and I was going to suggest mounting a brake light switch and hard wiring the harness neutral switch wiring into it. Good that you found what you needed though.
Here is a good source for any parts for our trucks. https://www.partsgeek.com/ymm/1985/c...op&scat=clutch. Second row, far right. It;s your switch but no connector. |
