387k tahoe gets new diff
1 Attachment(s)
Welp finally got tired of listening to the grinding ground of front diff on 387000 mile Tahoe. Picked up this beauty of a differential from local junkyard 22,000 documented miles on the truck will probably outlive the rest of the Tahoe looking forward to i stalling it ina few days

That's never good to find on the drain plugs.

Is your hoe a full time auto unit? The front diffs live and die by routine service on the full auto units. You can draw out the 2x4 units a little on fluid changes though. I had co-worker I had to put one in an escalade that looked even worse at 105k because he never changed the fluid.

Yup I also filled it with synthetic amsoil 75w90 gearoil

Re: 387k tahoe gets new diff
I use a laundry soap pump and clear hose on bottles of gear, manual transmission, and transfer case oil but Amsoil really has a good gimmick with the bags.

Even with the soap dispenser and hose it's still a pain in the neck to fill the diffs and transfer case on my 05. |
