Crew Cab Seat Belt ID help???

2 Attachment(s)
As usual, my build on my 83 Crew Cab has spiraled out of control to the point that I now have an 89 (yes 89 along with the 83) Crew Cab that is getting a full PB Fab front and rear suspension, a new interior and well everything else.

My 89 did not come with most of the seat belts - typical story "blah blah Cleanest, best running, blah blah truck ever" - which translates to "Not safe, Crap quality, eff you" - anyways at least I'm not bitter.

I did find online at a wrecking yard (can we call them "Junk Yards" anymore without offending someone?) that had a red interior Crew Cab with the seat belts.

I called them up, gave them a CC number and had them shipped. The belts came in three shipments and I can't figure out what two of the belts that were sent to me are for.

Pictures of the donor truck interior:

The one that I can't figure out has a shoulder bolt attachment.

The center belts are shown with the front set and the rear set.

Didnt realize your last pic had the shoulder belt part..sorry..
Looking at the pic again, it does look like the cover would fit a wheel well

Re: Crew Cab Seat Belt ID help???

You have 2 sets of fronts. Both are fronts. Just a different style. And the ones that are only the lap belt. Those are the rears.

TK, thanks!

And yet another episode of "TK Schools an Old Fat Bald guy"

TK, Do I have my posts of what I think are the rears and fronts correct?

The ones that I think are the rears without the shoulder attachment do have belts and connectors, they just aren't shown in the photo as I have them wire tied to the bolt down bracket.

Thanks Greg, that diagram helps with the bolt sizes.

* Does anyone know where I can get the seat belt bolts?

Lol. You have them identified correctly. The rears, and then the next 2 sets are both fronts. They are just a little different style, probably by year. That part I’m not sure what’s what. I don’t know that much about Suburbans & CC. I’ve been learning myself here lately. I’ve had had 2 people that I’ve been he,long out with seatbelts, one for a Suburban, and one for a CC.

Re: Crew Cab Seat Belt ID help???

Are the floor bolts a 1/2-13 x 1 1/8" with the torx head?

EDIT: I believe that the floor bolts for the 89 are 12mmx1.75x30mm, while the shoulder belts are 1/2"-13. I will update when I verify with my truck.

Thanks TK, I think that my 89 uses metric 12mm x 1.75 x 30mm seat belt to floor bolts.

LMC lists that they have them in stock, and I am going to give them a try.

Re: Crew Cab Seat Belt ID help???

I am also thinking of sending in my seat belts to have them re-webbed.

There seems to be two places;
1) A place in Westfield MA that goes under two different names: Seat Belt Restore, Safety Restore and others as "Partners"
2) A place in Oklahoma - SeatBeltPlanet.com

* Has anyone had any positive or negative experience with either?

Re: Crew Cab Seat Belt ID help???

I did have Safety Restore in Mass. clean/rebuild my 1977 C10 seatbelts and re-web them. They could not exactly match the web color, but they told that before they proceeded. It is pretty close. Looks good to me. And the belts now fully retract!
