Blazer buckets vs truck buckets
I'm assuming the only difference is the blazer gets a back on the bucket and the truck has the foam sort of showing in the back. And the truck passenger gets the stationary mounts vs the flip and slide (or maybe they dont slide?) version on the blazer. My guess is the driver side seat mount is the same truck and blazer.
I'm only talking about the "sport" buckets not the utility buckets. |

My '70 Blazer pass seat just flips foward.

The Truck “Buddy Buckets” are mounted on a frame that uses the same setup as the Bench seat, and both seats move as one.
I put Blazer buckets in my truck. The mounting brackets are different length on the drivers seat and the passenger seat flips forward with a pivot hinge on the front and a locking latch on the rear. I fabricated the frames under mine, and used the sliders off two old bench seats. The outside bracket on each seat is mounted in the factory holes, and I drill holes for the insides with an extra reinforcement plate for safety. The only tricky problem I had was the adjustment lever on the passenger side is on the left side next to the console. I solved that issue by cutting the lever shorter and fanned a bracket and over mounted to the front leg. It works pretty good :smoke: |

The seat itself is exactly the same for both, but you are saying the length of the actual sliders is different on a truck than a blazer. Ive never heard that before. I wonder if there is a thread somewhere that compares these? |

The seats are the same. Truck/Suburbans got a stationary bracket on the passenger side and Blazer got the fold forward bracket.
I think something got lost in Custom Nuts reply. But I did like he did and fabricated sliding bucket brackets from two sets of bench seat brackets. There's a thread somewhere (not mine) |

Ok this is what Im thinking now ... The confusion seems to be (to me) that somehow converting bench seat sliders to bucket seat sliders was tossed in the equation.
I'm only talking about stock bucket seat sliders, not anything converted. So this is how I understand it ... For the stock version of the passenger buckets ... Trucks have the stationary brackets that dont do anything except hold the seat in place, blazers do the same except they flip forward to allow access to the rear seat. And now I believe that the stock truck drivers side bucket is exactly the same as a stock blazer drivers side bucket in every way except the blazer buckets have the plastic back. Whew! |

Blazer and Truck Sport buckets are the same CG.
Driver side sliders same. Passenger side Not. Blazers got plastic backs. Trucks nothing. 69-72 all same frames and below just for fun. 73-77 Same frames as 69-72, just side skirts taper towards back of seat up an inch and a half vs 3 inch straight skirts 69-72. |
