Redrilling front hubs.
Tomorrow after work. I am going to go pick up a 75 C20 front suspension, and or crossmember.
So while I sit here monitoring temps. I was wondering if I could redrill C20 hubs from 8x6.5 to 5x5. I couldn't find a answer one way or another on the Google. If not I will just use C10 1.25 spindles as I originally planned. As I have said before. I plan to abuse the truck, and want to HD it up. As I want to run rally cross events, and not sheer off front suspension pieces. Breaking a axle is one thing. Breaking a ball joint is another. I am married to the 5x5 pattern for the foreseeable future due to rebuilding my rear axle unexpectedly after the driveshaft u-joint failure, and recent purchase of new to me 17x9 rims. Which look like aluminum version of the Soft 8's the rear Muscle truck has. |
Re: Redrilling front hubs.
I don't think the casting on the back of the rotor will allow you to move the studs in 3/4''. Let alone the face of the hub.

Re: Redrilling front hubs.
From the online pics it looks like it can.
Using the inner portion of the wheel studs as a guide. Either way it is a good buy for the parts I need/want. My front bushings are toast, and my sway bar bushing exist in name only. So either way it works out in my favor. |
Re: Redrilling front hubs.
8 on 6.5 minus 5 on 5 equals a 1'' difference????????????????? must be the new math going around
