Powersteering conversion issue

So i have a 1971 c10 2wd. I’m trying to convert it from manual steering to power steering. I’ve read the swap info section a few times and searched this forum. I have steering gear 7802644 and found I needed a 6131 pitman arm. The issue is that the inner tie rod hits the crossmember before I can get the pitman arm on. It does have wilwood drop spindles on it.

Thanks for any further info.

Charley.

This is common when the center-link/drag-link is flipped when reassembling. The inner TRE's should not make contact w/the center x-member throughout lock-to-lock turning travel.

I never even thought of that. I never installed the steering. The truck was purchased as a roller and was freshly assembled. Thanks.
