Stock Radiator- Electric Fan

On the 69 C10 with a 350 and air, I would like to replace the current electric fan bolted through the radiator with a dual fan.
Any suggestions on what is a good set-up that requires minimal fabrication and doesn't break the bank?
Also with either a single or dual fan set-up, do I need to install an original shroud?
Thanks

If it must be from a GM, then 90-96 Corvette has a dual fan package that is pretty close. I believe the IROC Camaros also have a nice dual fan setup. I have used the Corvette setup on a couple of cars.

If you don't mind other brands and want 2-speed fans, a 2000 Contour/Focus/Cougar has dual 2-speed fans. I use a Volvo relay to control the 2-speeds and a BMW sending unit to trigger the relay. See attached on a '69 Mustang radiator. I can provide some more details and p/ns if needed. I have also done a few of these.

MARKDTN- thanks for the information, but I am looking for a setup that will fit the stock radiator with little modifiactions.

I’m using a dual 14” fan shroud off eBay on my factory radiator. There is a small gap on the sides but other than that it’s a good fit. I was in a hurry so I just drilled some holes on the very top of rad and screwed it down. I can’t remember how I secured it on the bottom but I can check if you want more info. I should probably seal the gaps on the sides but so far the truck stays right at 192 with a 190* thermostat. Summer temps where I live reach 105. Shroud with fans was less than $200

I think I paid $35 or $40 for it at the local salvage yard. You will either need the original relays for the fans or set up your own.

This is what I used on my 454 BBC set-up.

I have an "exact replacement" aluminum radiator. The Derale fan system comes with a shroud that bolts to the radiator frame. I installed a relay for each fan. I used a Derale controller on one fan relay, set to come on at 200 degrees. I wired the ignition to activate the other relay. That fan runs continuously with the ignition on. The one fan keeps the coolant below 200 degrees so the fan on the controller hardy ever comes on.

Bolts right in! This is what I used with the stock radiator.

Don't use the relays that come with it though, too bulky and complicated...

I used this here:

Good luck!

I did this one: Jeep Grand Cherokee Electric Fan, twice. Works great, keeps the truck nice and cool, and looks stock too!!

Didn't have any problems in my other truck with A/C.

Thanks for the responses- I appreciate them.

I'm leaning toward the one from Summit Racing. Going to think on the a day or two.

Thanks again

I have the Corvette setup on my '83 K20. No mods to the radiator. Just took the fan shroud out and bolted the fan to the bottom and I think I used a piece of 1" or 1 1/2" wide flat bar to bridge the gap at the top. Mine is EFI so the ECM controls 1 fan and the other fan has a temp switch in the RH head to trigger the second fan relay. Pretty sure the IROC Camaro fans would also mount with no mods. You just have to figure out how you want to control them.

I have found that OEM fans are really durable and motors are generally available at any parts store. SPAL is probably also OK, but some of the more generic brands might let you down at a bad time with no way to get parts for them. Good luck with whatever you do.
