Wow, that is a nice one. They are getting hard to find but they are still out there.

Nice truck. I'd be interested to catch a look at the seat upholstery instead of the blanket. Everything else makes it look to be a low mileage survivor.

Definitely had a "spruce up" at some point with all the gold overspray, VIN tag, gas tank, etc. replacement bed wood, incorrect factory paint stripe. Underside of the hood should also be black instead of gold. I'm sure others will notice more details. Still a clean looking truck though.

I'd like to see that seat also. My C-10 is a "Custom", also. Mine had a white vinyl seat cover with an imprint pattern the full width of the seat. Wondering where to purchase a replacement and how much $$$.

Mine does NOT have the horns mounted on the fender well like that one does. That's the first 67-72 Chevrolet pickup, I've ever seen with that horn mount.

Mine had chrome valve covers, the top of my air cleaner was chrome also, although had been painted black some time.

Man. I know the roof lights are an option, but are leak makers, I'd be checking the inner roof structure for rust, or improper repairs

My bed is steel.

I'm wondering about that overflow tank, and maybe it is the reason for the horn mount..

Everything I've read here and else where is that NO 68's got ANY engine displacement emblem, I've seen many that have been added.

I'm also wondering about thaat Gold paint....Although the original was nothing great either...

A very nice Golden, has a few more options than mine.

I noticed on the video that the AC clutch hub was turning. Neither of the AC ports have the conversion fittings on them. I wonder if it still has R12 in it, and working?

SMS Fabrics will make seat covers for the 50th trucks. I bought one in March 2020 on their 19% off Covid19 Sale. $749 USD less 19% plus shipping and tax $682 total. Took 16 months to arrive but it is a nice seat cover. Check out the discussion http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=776643

Very nice truck. I have the C20 version.

I am not a 50th expert but shouldn't the visors, door panels and seat be white?

My door panels and seat are white. I am pretty sure the visors are gold, will check on that when I get home...

Maybe they are, I will also have to look when I get home!

Maybe it's the picture but those visors don't look gold.

Door panels ,seat white -visors ,dash pad are gold . Paint is wrong on the truck as the lower panels should be white . It's a nice looking truck but I would want to see it in person .

Thanks!!!

Weren't the 68 Golden's the first to get the lower white treatment? That doesn't seem correct, the trim changed starting in 69......?

The bed wood was painted body color in 68. Looks goldish, but auto paint on wood looks different, especially after 54 years.

Next!!!

yes, 68 anniversary trucks (paint RPO 551) were the first "Special Two-Tones" and were also the only Special Two Tone available in 68. Special Two Tone (white on top and bottom) was available with all the factory non-white colors in 69 and 70, and 70 offered the one-of-a-kind 573 RPO - the only non-white Special Two Tone ever offered in this era (yellow primary and med olive secondary colors).

Nice truck but I wonder if it's been turned over. Underside should be cleaner IMO unless it's been run in the rust belt.

The 396 emblem is wrong (I think) Dual exhaust is not correct. As mentioned the paint stripe is a poor copy and the floor of the bed has been redone. The hood underside could be body colored but looks too shiny.

I'm curious about the roof lights. Should the roof have the raised pads and appropriate lights?

I was wondering the same and then reread the ad.

Miles: 35,196 on odometer

I don't think they are claiming this is a low mileage truck but the simple fact that the odometer reads 35,196. Which could be 135,196 or even 235,196.

Marker lights are listed on the SPID. So my guess, yes.
Also it looks like the SPID has been aged quite a bit with kids marking on it. Does look org to the truck though.

Re: Someone has been hiding this one . 35,196 miles

Tim, I wonder about the mileage, also. The end of the seat that is exposed looks like the same color as the door panel ( saddle, maybe?). It seemed to me that I’ve never seen a seat in ANY GM car or pickup from the 60’s in original daily use condition that lasted very long, the material wore out and then you were sitting on foam or stuffing, then shortly after the springs.
My guess is the seat got re- done, and they made the door panels match. Very few people ( maybe pre 2000) knew the significance of a “Golden Anniversary” Chevy pickup
AND who would have been crazy enough to use white material? White is hard to keep clean, and would see to most to be the last color chosen to re-do a pickup seat in.

I’ve read here that the stock Golden interior colors were either white or black. Someone posted a couple of pics of a black accented interior, those are not likely common.

Someone has performed properly kept this pickup in good shape! I not crazy about the rally wheels, but they are likely what will be on mine when that day comes. The stock 5-1/2 wide wheels don’t cut it for me.

Dave,
I have zero knowledge of this he roof design for the roof lights. They were listed on the glove box decal, so who knows, unless the roof was re-done.

I still wish there was a seperate catagory for Goldens!

Re: Someone has been hiding this one . 35,196 miles

Those are stock roof lights just as the factory did it in 67 and 68. I've had 3 that were on the spid and just like that. In 69 they started the round lights with raised area in the panel.

Re: Someone has been hiding this one . 35,196 miles

My opinion is, it has to have been rolled over mileage. I have a truck that showed 45000 or so, on the odometer, that was in very similar condition, except for the new paint. Rubber floor mat was still pristine and underhood condition was much the same. Also a 1968. The bench was in great shape except for the seam on the drivers side. Without the shiny new paint it was obvious that 45000 was not original.

25 years ago when these trucks were 25 years old, it was super rare to find one that hadn't been rolled over mileage and many of them looked this good, without the shiny paint.
