Re: speed warning buzzer
The white and orange speedwarning harness wires plug into the two terminals on the buzzer, I do not believe it matters which one goes where. The factory harness plug will not connect as the terminals are laid out differently, you remove the wires from the plastic plug and connect them individually to the terminals. Once the orange speedo needle overlaps the white needle, there is a small hair thin wire that it touches and this grounds the circuit and sets off the buzzer.

Re: speed warning buzzer
The harness I use is aftermarket and only uses an orange and white wire. The only thing I can think of is the black wire is a ground…but the buzzer is already grounded when attached to the firewall

That's my problem, not alot of information out there on speed minders https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...bd65a0ce_c.jpg1669130494703509762106989405193 by [url=https://www.flickr.com/photos/97391199@N06/ Problem is, I've bought 2 buzzers, and both have tangs broken off, trying to find out function of these |
Re: speed warning buzzer
I took the tangs off that were “dead” or served no purpose when voltage was applied. The two tangs are all that is needed. You connect your two wires and done. I tested these buzzers in the same manner as the truck buzzer I have.
