New to forum and threads

Greeting from the frozen tundra of western NY!

I am new to forums and threads but am looking forward to sharing both your builds and mine. I recently became the caretaker of a beautiful 1971 Chevy
C-10 LWB Fleetside. It needs some TLC but it is rock solid.

I wanted to start a new thread with several "before" pictures but was unable to figure out how to upload images. A pop up tells me to enter a link to the picture, something I've never done. All my images are in the pictures files on my laptop. I resized them to the required size. Any help/instructions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome! I too have been a member for a while but never posted anything about my '65 shortbed (SBC 350 w M-21 4-spd). It's been almost 9 yrs now, and so much has progressed since acquiring this derelict from a junk heap in 2014. Been a long road, and am very pleased with the results, but I have 2 stubborn issues that remain:

1) Flickering Headlights- I've changed switch, alternator, and cleaned any corrosion off harness. The forum recommends I install a ground strap from cab to block. I'll try that next.

2) Engine starves for fuel at 65-70 MPH. I've changed fuel filter, removed "sock" in tank, and changed the mech. pump. Motor has HEI, so it's not points. QuadraJet was rebuilt in 2014, and float/needle valve are correct. Mechanic says to just install an Edelbrock, but I like the efficiency of smaller primaries on a Q-Jet.

Any insight would be most welcome.
