Not trying to be a but, I didn't know you could still get tailgates from Chevrolet. Maybe because he's from Canada?

I don't think he got it from Chevrolet. NOS is new old stock. Most have been purchased years ago and never used, left laying around someones garage or shop til sold now.
If he did get it from a dealer, it was well hidden.

Any damage or blems to the gate?

Somewhere there is a whole warehouse of this stuff waiting to be found.

I found this in an old body shop up in the rafters. A good friend of mine asked me to keep my eyes open for a tailgate a short while back. So when I saw this one I just bought it on the spot for him. When I contacted him to tell him the good news he informed me he already found one.

The Tailgate is Flawless! No dings visable. The only thing to note are the factory spot welds along the edges.

i have a take off gate from when the truck was new and it has the spot welds also

Find me a GMC one that close to here at that price and I'll buy it in a heartbeat.

Ive got 6 of them from various chev dealers from the US and 375 is a very good deal for it, it should bring 5-600 dollars......................

At least I'm not looking for anything that nice, need a solid work truck gate for the '70... something with a few less big dents than mine.
