Complete Heater and/or AC needed

I recently became a member of this site. Bought a '70 K10 from NC and Texas. The previous owner decided they didn't need heat or AC so everything is gone from the truck, no heater box, no controls, no ducts, nothing. I can find most of the parts for the heater, but not the actual box. I'm wondering if there is anybody out there with any information on where to find the box or the complete heater unit. I can probably do without AC as I'm in Wisconsin. I would even use an aftermarket heater. BTW the truck appears to have been an original big block, which I believe was a 396, but now it has a 454. Thanks.

You didn't say if your truck cab was AC or Not.
The cabs are different. Do you have the AC vents by the door and above the radio?
If you have a none AC cab it should be fairly easy to come up with the needed heater parts. If you have a AC cab and wanted AC it would be less expensive to go aftermarket on the AC.

Cheers.

There are no vents by the door or above the radio, so must have been heater only.

I likely have a heater box. But it is in storage, so access is delayed. I am sure others on the board have this parts. Watch for rusting where the blower motor sucks air from the cab.

I am fixing to take a complete working heater assembly our of my 68 to install factory AC. It is in good condition, rust free.
I also have a complete underdash AC unit for the truck.

Be sure and post it on the Parts For Sale forum and give him first chance at it. Lets not turn this thread into a "Parts For Sale" thread.

Thanks,

I don’t want to go against any rules or code, I don’t want your thread closed.

If inappropriate I apologize. Just trying to help

I may have some of the items you are looking for, they are listed for sale in the 1967-1972 Chevrolet and GMC Pickup parts board.
Listed under 72 C10 parts, currently page 2.
