Paint colour/code

2 Attachment(s)
Hi guys, trying to find the original paint code for my 1970 C10

SPID has option 4352AA White/Medium Green, so is this simply White and Medium Green from the 1970 Chevy colour chart? Ive seen some charts that have 2 medium greens which is even more confusing.

If anyone knows of any modern day code I can give to my paint guy that would be most appreciated

Thanks

Hello Belsh, well to find correct color is problematic. If color number is displayed in 3 digit code then no problem. When its 4 digit or a general code it's hard to find the exact color. Also if truck being exported, different paint codes for same color. Mine shows 4001FK "Special Paint" which is the darker blue and white, lighter blue is a repaint. A lot of color samples posted for 1970 and some cross reference also.

That's a 532 white/medium green, my 72 has a 548 white/medium green code.

While the white/medium green color code may have changed between years, I think the base color code of medium green stayed the same, which was 503.

Belsh, your paint RPO code is 532, the other letters/numbers are not applicable.
532 = conventional two tone scheme of primary color Medium Green Poly (RPO code 529 for that color by itself) and secondary color of White (RPO 521 for that color by itself).
529 is a metallic 1970-only color (503, which was available all years in this era, was not a metallic paint).
In 1970 "Conventional" two tone means white top, A-pillars, and window frames with everything else the primary color.

Fantastic work Jocko, I thought the bit I managed to polish up looked metallic but assumed I was wrong as I didn’t realise metallic paint was a thing back in 1970. I’m just even more excited now to see it painted up!!
