Cell Phone- Battery Pack-Charger

Looking for some input from those much more hi-tech than myself to recommend a good small, portable, rechargeable cell phone battery pack for use when wandering thru car shows, swap meets and similar events where one can't plug into a 120volt receptacle. Any input as to which ones are good and which ones are junk would be appreciated.

Have a two day swap meet I will be setting up at with no available 120 volt receptacles. Can charge cell phone overnight and in the truck heading out but once I get to my booth there is nothing to charge from.

I have several battery packs, I have several thermal scopes and those things eat batteries like tictacs .. so I'm now running apex3d batteries on them..about these size of a hotdog cut in half...they last a extremely long time..

My mother is one of the most cold natured people on the planet ..she freezes at church so I got her a electric lap blanket.. it's powered by a battery pack i bought off ebay, that's about the size of a phone..
Similar to this

My old pad batteries were going bad, wouldn't stay charged but about a hour..
they told me a new battery was $600..so i used a battery pack for a while..then just got a new pad..
So ,yes they work great..
I've never ran a phone off one but that's what they say they're designed for

.

Watched this video a while back (12 days). This guy tests all sorts of things on his channel, does not take free test items from manufacturers and does his testing objectively.

This is his testing of portable power bricks under 30 bucks...

The image represents some of his findings in the video near the end.

EDIT: second image is more useful for the comparison

I bought a battery pack Thingie from Best Buy.

I got it because my old phone would not keep a good charge.

And because the job I was at I did not want to plug my phone in to charge with it being out of my site.
It was Just Okay.:rolleyes::but:

Here is what I use Now when I need to.

Link: https://www.amazon.com/GOOLOO-GP4000...167581669&th=1

This can Jump your vehicles off and charge your Phone and other stuff.

I don't leave home without it.;)

It worth the extra money IMHO because of it's Multi functionally

I bought that Gooloo one Dwayne a while back. Haven't used it yet but it's in the truck full time. About the size of a brick and all attachments are in the carry pouch, including phone charging port.

It's probably the best Jumper Box I have owned.

I am sure there are better ones out there.

For the money and the Versatility, I like it.

The booster cables can be a little finicky sometimes.

I have used it for Cell phone, Tractor, Lawnmower and my Truck.

You can get several jumpstarts with one charge.

I am sure it would even power a laptop sufficiently also.

Thanks for the replies, just ordered a pair of charger banks off eBay. Same as Greg aka "mongocanfly" bought for his ipad. Like the reviews and the multiple ports available, should be here early next week if the Pony Express doesn't have to change horses too often and can make all the lights. Seems anything being shipped now days is a crap shoot as far as the indicated ship time. The world we live in now days I guess.

Getter-done, I like that jumper box you referred to but may be a bit bulky to haul around walking thru a swap meet. Guess I could put it in my swap meet cart for a mobile generator/back up, LOL.

I bought the same one because of Dewayne, works like a champ.

I have a lot of 20v dewalt tools and they make an adaptor that goes on your 20v battery. I think it has 2 plug ins. Works good for charging a phone. I can get a pic if you like. If you don't already have the batteries, it may be spendy.

Re: Cell Phone- Battery Pack-Charger

The only downside some of these chargers have, is that they need to see a certain minimum draw for a period of time or they shut down.

I had a larger unit for powering a 12V cooler on a nationwide road trip, and when the cooler was cold, it would stop the compressor. When off for several minutes, the battery would power down. The next time the cooler needed to kick on….no bueno. Everything was off.

I ended up needing to also plug in an LED nightlight to draw a couple watts, so the charger saw some sort of constant draw and would stay powered.
