I'm running 15x8 6 lug rallies on my '71 4x4 and use a 3'' trim ring. I use the brushed aluminum but have also seen them in a polished aluminum. Thinking the polished aluminum were used on the 15 x 8 Corvette rims from the factory but not sure. I run the polished on my '71 Chevelle with 8'' rallies on the back and 7 inchers on the front. Swap meets, yard sales, garage sales, auctions or consider becoming a dues paying member and place a Want To Buy (WTB) ad in the parts forum. Best $25 a year you'll ever spend on your truck.

They are reproduced but I'm not a big fan of reproduction anything. Usually the re-pops just almost but not quite fit. Nothing fits and works as well as original GM parts. Good luck in your search. :chevy:

Here's another photo of a 15x8 Rally wheel with what I think is a trim ring used on 6.5" and 7" wheels. I've had the same setup on my 69 truck for almost 30 years. I had planned to get the larger rings some day, but this size has kinda grown on me.

Do have any problems checking tire pressure or putting air? Valve stem looks pretty deep into the ring.

I like that look!

Here's a close-up with the the cap removed. Plenty of room for an air chuck, but I wish the trim ring gap was a little wider at the valve stem base for a little more clearance.

I bought these at a swap meet nearly 30 years, and have always assumed they were GM.

Yes when they were mounted supposed to have longer valve stems installed. They need extensions or pull the ring.Just rollers for now will probably need new rubber before i get this truck done. Dry rot waits for no man!

I hate it when that happens! I've never had an old car or truck out of service for more than a few months. But I typically don't put even 5K miles on the tires by the time they're 8-10 years old! It really sucks when Cooper Cobra and BFG Radial TA tires cost 50% more than just a few years ago.

I have two buddies who've never put even a mile on new sets of tires! Their 2-3 year projects turned into 12-13 years. One of the cars is finally on the road; the other is still a ways off. However, those are both frame-off builds with lots of body and suspension mods. And, unfortunately, a few changes of plans as newer and better parts became available over the years.
