tow hooks

I've seen tow hooks come up in some posts, along with mention of money. Lemme get this straight, my old, heavy, ugly tow hooks (that I gave away) were worth money???

If they were old, big, ugly factory originals and you gave em away....ya, that probably hurts a little. Might as well handed someone $200 and said have a nice day!

I'm not really sure if they are the 67-68 or 69-72, but they were mounted on my 72, they were open on the front, and kinda curved in at the ends

Well heck, then you are both good friends...but wait, now he's trying to hawk em?? And he put em on a Furd!!! Yikes!!!

spencra 01-14-2004 10:37 PM

effie53,

I'd say milk it for all it's worth. Believe me my friend would be sweating this one out all right.
You could do things like: box up a couple of bricks and gift wrap em for him, or make a couple of aluminum foil repros or some smart a$$ stuff like that.
Unfortunately your buddy is reading this right now :D :D :D

Have a fun day. Oh yeah and welcome to the board.

you two kids play nice now! lol

and I like the color of that Ford, too!

dregs454 01-15-2004 12:21 AM

haha, yea, thats what the front of my truck used to look like until I took that huge tree-ramming thing off and donated it to effie's f*rd

although I don't normally advertise it, some f*rds are ok, like his 53(has a chev SB in it!!), and the green beast 4x4 that has a lime green 360 torque monster living inside

effie53 01-15-2004 09:07 PM

Man, i never thought anyone else liked that green color!
