I think its very possible to have powerful enough vehicles but yet efficient if people would do it.
Sad part is is that everytime an auto maker gets a efficient car made a gas company will buy the patent. You can look it up. You know how you always read of these new "thing of the future" efficient vehicles for years. Well look up the patents on most of them and they were bought by oil companies.
So what we need to do (I am guilty as most) is to do more efficient ignition, exhaust, carb, etc.
