The #7 claim might hold water. If the power brake hose was coming from the intake instead of the carb, and it was blumbed into a runner instead of general vacume, then that runner would be very lean, and with very cold air. That could posably do some damage.
However, I think he was blowin smoke up your tail pipe myself, tryin real hard to scare you into payin him way too much.
Good move on not going back to him.
