I'm real happy with my Eaton. Used the old ring and pinion, just bought new bearings for the carrier. It set up just fine using the stock shims. The wear pattern was on the money and backlash was good. Haven't heard much good about the Powertrax. The Eaton always works great with no noise and is rebuildable. Nail it, get a bit sideways, and leave cool black marks.
