The engine size on my truck came up this
weekend again, after trying to set the
timing, tuning, etc..
My friend has a reference book to set the
timing on certain engine sizes, and he
said he thought I had a 350, not a 327 by
looking at the casting numbers.

Any way, I sent an email to mortec.com, and
they responded with this....

My casting numbers:
T0416H0
19B377698

Hi,

The motor was assembled at the Tonawanda plant (T) on April 16th (0416). The "HO" suffix code was used on 1969 model 350/300hp motors originally installed in an Impala with a four speed and a Rochester four barrel carb. The second digit of the engine VIN you sent is a "9" confirming the model year.

So I guess I have a 350 not a 327 like the previous owner stated. Eithier way, it's a great
engine....
